The Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994 requires all persons engaged in teaching, supervision, and administration of all elementary and secondary schools in the country to pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). Graduates with undergraduate degrees in Education, such as Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, and their respective equivalents, are qualified to take the LET.
However, non-education graduates are allowed to take the LET subject for teachers in the secondary grades, a bachelor’s degree in the arts or sciences, with at least 18 units of professional education. Evaluation for eligibility to take the LET is conducted by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) for each individual who files an application to take the examination. In line with this, the PRC set a new guideline on the designation of major subjects for unit earners for the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).

During my time po im a graduate of business add year of 2010, then take 24 units of professional education. Year of 2012 i submitted my papers to prc and ask them to assess my educational background, and according to them base on their assessment i am qualified to take major in tle... During that time i read some articles regarding choosing your major when you are not education graduate depends on the mood of the assessor
